Sterling silver and component descriptions

Sterling silver describes a silver alloy containing 92.5% silver. The exact product description matters: sterling silver earring posts do not make a brass hoop sterling silver. Check the material for each stated component, and do not infer the metal from a product photograph or collection heading.

Gold plating and gold-colored finishes

A gold-plated surface and solid gold are different products. A karat description of plating concerns the gold layer, not necessarily the underlying metal. Read the specified base metal and finish for your chosen piece. We do not describe every gold-colored item as solid gold or apply a universal plating-thickness claim.

Pearls and stones

Use the individual listing to identify the stated pearl or stone type. A clear stone is not automatically a diamond, and a pearl-like appearance alone does not establish a natural or cultured pearl. A reference to cubic zirconia or moissanite should not be replaced with a diamond claim. Ask about missing composition details before purchasing.

Sensitive skin and mixed materials

There is no collection-wide nickel-free or hypoallergenic guarantee. A piece may contain different materials in its post, clasp, decorative component and finish. If you have a known sensitivity, compare the specific components with your requirements and contact us about anything not stated.
